Aimee Marie Davis, age 72, of Marion, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2025.
Aimee was born on July 2, 1953, on the United States Military Base on Chincoteague Island,
Virginia, the daughter of Merl Lamar and Anna Mae (Lanius) Hilborn. She was a 1971 graduate of Ridgedale High School. On June 26, 1976, she was united in marriage to Burl David Davis.
Aimee felt a strong calling to public service and proudly served her community as Marion City Councilwoman for the 4 Ward and later served as out large council member, positions she won through many elections. She loved working closely with her constituents and advocating for the whole city serving with dedication until her retirement from public service.
A devoted and hands-on mother, Aimee was someone everyone could depend on. She served as PTA President and was also President of the Harding Football Moms, where she helped prepare countless spaghetti meals for the players with care and enthusiasm.
In her spare time, Aimee enjoyed crocheting hats, scarves, blankets, many of which she lovingly gifted to family and friends. She was a member of the Whetstone Wood Carving Club and was an enthusiastic supporter of The Ohio State Buckeyes.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Burl David Davis; daughters, Amber Davis and Brandy Davis; bonus grandchildren, Addison Steele, Addalyn Pratt, Addelar Pratt and good friend their mother, Crystal Pratt,; siblings, Mel (David Daniel) Hilborn and Kara (Glenn) Williamson; and her beloved nieces and nephews, Madison (Tyler) Santeramo, Zach Williamson, Rob (Necol) Dunson, Billy (Lisa) Dodson, Denise (Lalo) Vazquez and Donald Gay, and numerous great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews.
She will also be missed by numerous Others who called her Mama Davis or Mom throughout Marion. They could always depend on her. Whatever their problem was she would be there for them as well.
Visitation will be held Thursday January 15, 2026 at Snyder Funeral Homes, Denzer Chapel, 360 East Center St., Marion from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., followed Immediately by a Celebration of Life service at 3:30 p.m., with Pastor Kathy Herr officiating.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or Saint Judes Children's Hospital.
