Aimee Siems

MORTON – Aimee T. Siems, 47, of Morton, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep Sunday, January 4, 2026, at her home.
Aimee was born on November 4, 1978, in Peoria, Illinois, to Allan and Prescila (Terraza) Capati. Aimee married Shawn Siems on October 11, 2003, in Peoria, Illinois. He survives.
Also surviving are her children, Ava, Vian, Maci and Ezra Siems all of Morton; father, Allan Capati; siblings, Aileen (Matthew) Bartolo of Peoria, Allan Ross (Mikeal) Capati of Springfield, Illinois and Andrew (Kristen) Capati of Peoria and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother.
Aimee was graduate of Northern Illinois University. She was a compliance analyst for Caterpillar as well as a CEO Award recipient.
Aimee was very supportive of her children's activities and you would always find her at Ava's cheerleading, Vian's football, Maci's color guard and Ezra's soccer. She was very proud of her children and their accomplishments.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Alpha Phi Sorority and the Filipino-American Society of Central Illinois (FASCI).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton, with Fr. Adam Ceserak officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 9, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. Further visitation will be held from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, January 10, prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Siems Children's Family Trust in care of Morton Community Bank, 721 West Jackson Street, Morton, IL 61550.
