Aino Ingrid Lunde, 90, of Duluth, MN passed away on September 21, 2025, in hospice care at Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Cloquet, MN.

Ingrid was born on March 26,1935, in Palo, MN, to John and Helmi Kilpela. She was the last survivor of her eight siblings. Ingrid graduated from Duluth Central High School and married Gary D. Lunde in 1953. They had four children who they raised in the Kenwood area of Duluth, MN.

Ingrid loved flower gardening and had many gardens and flowering plants throughout her yard, which she maintained herself up until last year. She was blessed to be able to remain in the Kenwood home she loved until just recently. Her other great joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Her great grandchildren were Easton, Carter and Dawson Lunde. Wesley, Noah, Oliver and Theodore Lund. Also, Aubrey Johnstad. Ingrid will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always attended every birthday and special event.

She is survived by son Wayne (Debbie) Lunde, and daughters Jamie (Jeff) Bowden, and Brenda Willis, along with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Lunde, her son David Lunde, and grandson Joseph Skarman.

Memorial service will be at the Cremation Society of MN-Duluth on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 with visitation at 10 am and service at 11 am.
