On Friday, August 30, 2024, Mr. Akoch Peter Piot, beloved son of Tabitha Wahn Nyawar of Calgary, Alberta passed away suddenly at the age of 20 years.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, and friend, Akoch Peter Piot, who passed away unexpectedly on August 30, 2024, at the age of 20.

Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, on March 5, 2004, Akoch was a kind-hearted and selfless young man who cared deeply about the success and well-being of others, especially his family. He believed in the potential of those around him, always encouraging others to believe in themselves. His generous spirit and warm nature touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

Despite the early loss of his father, Piot Dol, Akoch remained determined and driven. He discovered his passion for technology at a young age, excelling in working with computers. He accomplished many of his personal goals and had ambitious plans to pursue post-secondary education in Information Technology, with dreams of building a career in a field he loved.

Akoch leaves behind his devoted mother, Tabitha Nyawar, his cherished sister, Sunday, and his loving brothers, Logjwok and Nyok. He also leaves behind many friends and extended family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Akoch will always be remembered for his kind heart, his unwavering belief in the people he cared for, and his relentless drive to achieve his own goals while helping others reach theirs. His legacy of kindness, ambition, and love will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Relatives and friends wishing to pay their respects to Akoch may do so from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Pierson's Funeral Service, 4121 - 17 Avenue SE, Calgary, Alberta. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Pierson's Funeral Service. Burial will take place at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, 1515 - 100 Street SE, Calgary, Alberta.
