Al Rorick Obituary

The Plains Al Rorick, 75 of The Plains, passed away Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center. Born January 2, 1950, in Athens, he was the son of Janice Linton McGee and the late Arthur Stewart Rorick.

A United States Navy Veteran, Al was loyal in his service to our country, honorably discharged as a Vietnam Era veteran. He would later retire from Steward-McDonald as a machinist, assisting in the manufacturing of countless guitars. His talents were not limited to his manufacturing of instruments, as he also loved to play guitar.

You could often find Al reading a good book or searching for buried artifacts, whether by hand or with his metal detector. His family was always his first priority, and they will miss him dearly.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Joni Kollister Rorick; children, Erin Rorick, Ivan Rorick; sister, Nanette Rorick, and niece, Adrian Hartman.

He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Rorick.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Hughes Funeral Home where the family will announce a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Chillicothe VA Medical Center or Ohio Health Hospice be made in Al's name. Those who wish to sign the online guestbook may do so at www.ehwfh.com. Al Rorick
