Alaina Williams Burrows

April 7, 1934 ~ September 7, 2022

Alaina Williams Burrows, 88, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2022 in Provo Utah, surrounded by her family. Alaina was born April 7, 1934 in Malad City, ID to Arthur Laven and Hazel Hayball Davis Williams. She grew up in Malad with her six siblings where she attended and graduated from Malad High School.

She married William Larry Williams (Deceased) in the Logan Utah Temple on September 28, 1951. They raised their seven children in Pocatello, ID. She moved to Utah in 1981, living in Kaysville then Layton where she met and married her sweetheart, Ray Burrows (Deceased), in 1995. They made their home in Ogden. In their free time they enjoyed traveling, country dancing together, and enjoying the great outdoors in Utah. They loved hosting their families and friends for 4-wheeling adventures at their 2nd home in Hatch Utah, where they made cherished memories. Ray always said. “I married the right woman!” She spent the last years of her life living with her daughter and son-in-law in Midway, Utah.

In 1981 Alaina began working for St. Benedicts Hospital, where she worked in Central Supply, until she retired. She also worked weekends at the Hill Air Force Base Hospital in Central Supply.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in numerous callings including Sunday School teacher, and MIA leader. But her favorite place to serve was in the Primary, as Primary President, and most of all as a primary teacher. Her favorite calling was teaching the seven going on eight year olds. She put special effort and countless hours in preparing those little ones for their baptisms. Those 8 year olds were lifted into another spiritual experience by having her prepare them for baptism. She was extraordinary!!

She loved sewing pieced quilts for her family. Everyone has at least one quilt that they cherish. Her family refers to these quilts as, “My Grandma Quilt.” She spent countless hours scrapbooking, and creating beautiful records of memories and accomplishments for her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by three of her children, Ann (John) Clawson, Karl (Theresa) Williams, and Kleon (Kim) Williams; three step-children, Brett Burrows, Christine (Susan) Burrows, and Brian (Jennifer) Burrows; 13 grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; and four siblings.

Preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; her children, Kayle (Flora) Williams, Dave Williams, Alaina (Troy) Ogden, and Bill Williams; step-son, Daniel (Carolyn) Burrows; one granddaughter; son-in-law John (Ann) Clawson; one sister; and one brother.
