Alan Charles Barbour, 74, of Clinton, Indiana, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025, in Union Hospital. He was born in Clinton, Indiana, on May 9, 1951, to Daniel Barbour and Margaret Rhyan Barbour. Alan was a lifelong member and Deacon of Trinity Independent Church. He was a graduate of Indiana State University, majoring in Spanish, and minoring in French. He worked at Pillsbury, Columbia Records, and Novelis. Alan was a big Chicago Bears football fan and also followed the Chicago White Sox baseball team. Alan loved to garden and to work outside in the yard. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandkids.
Alan is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, John Barbour, a brother-in-law, Randy Cutliff, and a sister-in-law, Cindy Pickard.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Ann Strole Barbour (m.10/2/1976), a son, Corey Barbour (Amy), a daughter Danielle Blair (Jason), brother, Dennis Barbour (Nancy), sister, Mavis Russell (Gary), brothers-in-law, David Strole (Pam), Donnie Strole (Janet), Jeffrey Strole (Tammy), and Jim Pickard, sisters-in-law, Vicki Cutliff, Elizabeth McClain (Butch), grandchildren, Eris Blair, Andrew Blair, Hunter Barbour, and Addie Barbour, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation for Alan will be on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 11 am until 1 pm in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana, 47885. Funeral services will begin at 1 pm in the funeral home. Burial will take place in Brick Church Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Trinity Independent Church, and/or The Providence Food Pantry.
