Alan F. Enos, age 90, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband to Elizabeth (Farina) Enos for 63 years. Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late Celia (Sayers) Enos. At age 20, he joined the Army during the Korean War, and was part of the military police, where he served his country. He worked at Weymouth Art Leather for over 30 years, holding multiple titles until retiring. He was a devoted Elder to his Jehovah’s Witness faith, in both Brockton and Stoughton Congregations. His passion was preaching the good news of God’s Kingdom which he did so for almost 50 years. He leaves behind many friends from his Congregation who are deeply saddened by his loss. He loved crossword puzzles and playing cards, especially the game “May I?” with his wife every day which, in his own words, “kept his brain sharp.” Watching Boston Sports was another huge passion of his, especially the Celtics and the Red Sox, and he enjoyed watching UCONN women’s basketball. Above all, his greatest passion was his family and he will be greatly missed by all of those who had the honor of knowing him.

In addition to his dear wife, Alan is survived by his children Lori LaForge and her husband Scott of Stoughton, Elizabeth “Beth” McIntyre and her husband John of Halifax, and Anthony Enos of Florida, and the late Alana Enos of East Bridgewater. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren. He had a close relationship with 3 grandkids in particular, Jessie Camacho, Andrew Enos and Mya Enos. He was preceded in death by his 3 siblings and leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Family services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alan’s memory may be made to the Veterans Association of West Roxbury, 1400 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury, MA 02132 or Old Colony Hospice, 321 Manley Street, West Bridgewater, MA 02379.
