Alan Wayne Guesfeird of Federalsburg passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Tidal Health Nanticoke in Seaford, Delaware. He was 73.

He was born on June 19, 1952, in Easton, Maryland, the son of the late William Preston "Skipper" Guesfeird and Mildred Elliott Guesfeird. He was also preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Roxie Elliott.

Alan graduated from North Caroline High School with the Class of 1970. A skilled carpenter by trade, he dedicated most of his life to the construction industry. Outside of work, Alan embraced the simple pleasures of life on the Shore. He was happiest when catching up with old friends, being out on the water boating, fishing, and crabbing, or sharing quality time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his companion, Margaret Hubbert; his four children: Wendi Tull and her husband Kenny, Matt Guesfeird and his wife Kristin, Tabatha Wilkinson and her husband Brandon, and Zachary Guesfeird and his partner Leslie; as well as his wife Mani Guesfeird of Bridgeville. He also leaves behind six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a stepbrother, Albert Schneyer and his family.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial will be private.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in Alan's memory to the Federalsburg Volunteer Fire Company, Post Office Box 99, Federalsburg, MD 21632.
