Alan M. Hadcock passed away peacefully after a long illness on July 13, 2025. Alan was born on December 10, 1952, to the late Frances and Elbert Hadcock. He was raised in Dannemora and had lived in Lyon Mountain for several years. Alan was a proud veteran of the United States Army, achieving the rank of Sergeant. He worked for several years for Sam's Club. Alan was a devoted New York Yankee and Giants fan. He had a great love of dogs and cats; he rescued animals his whole life.
He is survived by his three sisters: Margaret (Phil) Crowe, Sr. Helen Hadcock, Elaine (Russ) Taylor, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude to Alan's friend Charlie for his support and friendship these many years. We would also like to give our thanks to his excellent nurses Sam and Bonnie for the wonderful care he received in the ICU of CVPH Hospital.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora, NY at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, July 29. Burial to follow at the New St. Joseph's Cemetery. In remembrance of Alan, and his love of animals big and small, please consider a donation to your local animal shelter.
