ALAN JOHN HILEWSKY, of Oxford, Michigan, passed away on August 21, 2023, at 75 years of age. Alan was born on July 26, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan to parents Alexander and Irene (Koperski) Hilewsky. Proud father of Lara (Ron) Vandekerckhove; Dear grandfather of Jackson, Caty, and Parker, with special mention of Brooke (Gary) Cooper, Julia Vandekerckhove and Drake Vandekerckhove. Cherished brother of Gary (Jan) Hilewsky, Bonnie (the late Frank) McNail, the late Linda Hilewsky, John Hilewsky, and Debbie Deja. Alan will be remembered for his love of hunting, cooking, restoring cars and Harleys, and building guns. Alan was loved by many and will be missed deeply. A memorial service starting with military honors will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 6:30PM at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home (33603 Grand River Ave. Farmington, Michigan 48335). The family will accept visitors from 3:00PM until the time of service.
