So sad....I only met Al about 4 years ago and had the pleasure of golfing with him several times. He even played a few holes early in summer of 2023. He sure loved the game. What a great sense of humor too.

I was Al's clerk when he was in the Southfield Yellow Pages office. He was always a gentleman, and I don't think I can remember him every not smiling. He was honest, considerate and a fun guy to know. I'm happy to have known him. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends who will be missing him.

Uncle Al always loved his toys. The first one I remember was a hydroplane he had at Grandpa Sid´s on Pontiac Lake. He and Billy Otenbaker flipped it a few times. Quite the daredevils.

"Death of a Salesman" comes to mind so emphatically as I read Al's name, the announcement of his passing. As my Dad of year's ago, Al was a self-made man who's profession and trade was making, growing, publishing the needs and products of others. He enhanced his community of people whom he served. It was back in the mid '50's at DeLaSalle High in Detroit where, as students at a classic all boys prep, we first met. Than, as time and career separated us, we went our separate ways. 60 years later we met again as we found ourselves in a similar neighborhood, parish and in the company of a small group of alumni who occasionally would meet in honor and in memory of our days and nights on the streets, the neighborhoods of Detroit's Eastside. In honor of Al, Nicole whose name remains on our parish honor wall. we bid our farewell in love, memory and wish for a "smoother close" and to a better world where hopefully we all, WILL MEET AGAIN once again!
