Alan Tanner Mays, age 28, of Evansville, IN formerly of Henderson, KY, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023, at his home.
Tanner was a hard-working young man and worked on various water towers. He enjoyed music and playing the guitar. His hobbies were riding dirt bikes, spending time with friends, but family was the love of his life.
Tanner was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Oscar and Evadean Mays, brother Oscar "Sam" Mays, maternal grandfather Eddie Parrish, uncles Mike Parrish and John Mays, and his best friend Devin Waddell.
He is survived by his children Calloway Mays, Abelene Martin, Liam Bennett, all at home, mother Beverly Willett (Scott) of Henderson, KY, father Roy Mays of Robards, KY, sister Mollie Mays of Henderson, KY, brother Dylan Mays of McLeansboro, IL, step siblings Brittany Willett and Andrew Willett, Hendeson, KY, grandmother Mary Parrish of Poole, KY, nieces Serenity Hager, Baja Hager, Harlee Baker and nephew Messiah Haynes.
Relatives and friends are invited to Tanner's Life Celebration from 10:00 a.m. until the service time on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Deborah McBride officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY.
