  Alan Val McDonald, age 66, of Myton, passed away November 12, 2024, at the University of Utah.

 He was born October 2, 1958, in Kearns, Utah, to Val and Beverly Fietkau McDonald. He married Christy LaRose, and they had a daughter, Toni. They later divorced. He married Nikki Ruganis, and they had a son, Travis. They later divorced. He married Leslee Dawn Meeks, July 31, 2009. Years later he met Loretta Wilson and enjoyed helping to raise her son, Matthew. 

 Alan worked in the oil field for all of his life, mostly as a driller and later as a hydro vac operator. He enjoyed hunting – both animals and arrowheads – fishing, camping, and riding his pick-up and 4-wheeler in the mountains. He loved his family and spending time with them.

 Alan is survived by his wife, Leslee Dawn McDonald, his children, Toni Hicken, Roosevelt; Travis (Samantha) McDonald, Pinedale, Wyoming; grandchildren, Celeste Hicken, Brendon Hicken, Raelee (Rysten) Stringham, Brodee Hicken, Mason McDonald; father, Val McDonald, Altamont; siblings, Susan Doran, Mesquite, Nevada; Sandy Ames, Roosevelt; Brian (Connie) McDonald, Neola; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly; a sister, Sharon Saloga, and a brother-in-law, Rae Ames. 

 Alan’s wishes were to be cremated and there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
