Alan Wesley "Crab" Moyer, 79, of Wampum, Wayne Twp. passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital following a short illness.
Born November 20, 1946, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Walter and Mary Pappas Moyer.
Alan graduated from Lincoln High School in 1965. He served in the Army during Vietnam as a Military Policeman until receiving his honorable discharge. After his service, Crab worked as a truck driver for many years. He loved his horses, enjoyed hunting in Tionesta, and riding his motorcycle.
Survivors include six sisters, Margaret Badger of Wampum, Jean Moyer of East Palestine, OH, Sally Bennethum of Dayton, OH, Helen Mort of Berlin, PA, Noreen (Donald) Peffer Jr. of Chambersburg, PA, and Melanie Quinn of Wampum; five brothers, John Moyer of Wampum, Edward (Robin) Moyer of Georgia, James (Laura) Moyer of Plymouth, MN, Thomas (Linda) Moyer of Shippensburg, PA, and Brian Moyer of Wampum, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Mary Rose Moyer and brother Robert Moyer.
Per Alan's wishes, no services will be held. Interment will be in Slippery Rock Church Cemetery.
