DEAREST MELISSA:
BOB AND I SEND OUR SINCERE CONDOLENCES AND WISH YOU PEACE, STRENGTH AND COMFORT DURING THIS TIME OF LOSS. WE TREASURE ALL THE MEMORIES CREATED DURING OUR MANY YEARS AS NEXT-DOOR NEIGHBORS.
BOB AND ALAN BECAME "BEST TECH BUDDIES" IN 1981, WHEN WE BUILT THE FIRST HOUSES ON RAINDANCE LANE. THESE TWO "TECHIES" COMPARED THEIR CLIPBOARDS AND MENTAL NOTES AS BOTH HOUSES WERE BEING CONSTRUCTED.
WE REMEMBER HAVING NO STORES, RESTAURANTS, SCHOOLS OR PAVED ROADS IN WEST BOCA IN THE EARLY DAYS. YOUR MOM AND DAD, ALONG WITH BOTH OF US, WOULD HAVE TO DRIVE ALL THE WAY EAST TO THE ELEPHANT WALK RESTAURANT ON WEEKENDS TO HAVE DINNER OUT.
WE ALWAYS ENJOYED OUR MANY GET TOGETHERS ON WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS AT YOUR HOUSE WITH ALAN, LINDA, BOTH YOUR GRANDMOTHERS AND DEBBIE.
ONE MEMORABLE EVENT TO SHARE WAS WHAT HAPPEND IN YOUR LIVING ROOM ONE AFTERNOON AFTER DINNER. YOU AND YOUR PARENTS, ALONG WITH THIER FRIENDS, JOHN AND LOUISE DESANTIS AND BOTH OF US WERE SITTING ON THE FLOOR SHARING STORIES WITH ONE ANOTHER. SUDDENLY, YOU DECIDED TO STAND UP ON YOUR OWN AND FOR THE FIRST TIME, TOOK YOUR FIRST STEPS, AND WALKED ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE ROOM. EVERYONE CAME UNGLUED WITH JOY AND LAUGHTER!
YOUR DAD STOPPED BY THE HOUSE TO SAY HELLO A FEW TIMES WHEN HE WAS IN THE AREA, WITH THE LAST VISIT IN LATE 2024. ALAN AND BOB CALLED EACH OTHER FROM TIME TO TIME, TO KEEP IN TOUCH, AFTER YOUR PARENTS MOVED TO BOYNTON BEACH.
