Alan Joseph Per

Alan Joseph Per, 80, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.
Alan was born in Pittsburgh, Kansas on June 15, 1945 to the late Frank Per, Sr. and Ann (Brill) Per. He graduated from Boonville High School in 1963 where he was an all-star football player. Alan graduated from Evansville College on a full-ride football scholarship and went on to earn his masters degree in Education from Indiana State University. He began his career teaching at Rex Mundi High School until its closing in 1972. He then went on to work at Alcoa until his retirement after 30 years of service. Alan enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching westerns and was an avid sports fan. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
Alan is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Consuelo "Connie" Marie (Krause) Per; by their boys, Marc Hafele, Adam Cabello and Randy Clark; sister, Cathy Hanold; brother, Joe Per (Cindy); sister-in-law, Bonnie Per; and by several nieces and nephews.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Frank Per; and by his brother-in-law, Jim Hanold.
A celebration of Alan's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Marc Hafele officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville, Indiana.
Friends may visit from 11:00 am until service time on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Browning Funeral Home.
