Alan Wayne Roddy, age 64, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023, at Spartanburg Medical Center.
A native of Rutherford County, Alan was the son of the late James Roddy and Jessie Abrams Roddy. Alan worked at Big Al's for many years, as well detailing cars which he was known for. He was an avid North Carolina Tar Heels fan.
Alan is survived by his uncle, Curtis Roddy, and numerous loving cousins that will cherish his memory.
The graveside service will be at Grays Creek Baptist Church Cemetery at 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 21, 2023, with Reverend Bryan Cooper officiating. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

SO SAD TO HEAR OF ALAN;S DEATH, BUT TO BE ABSENT FROM THE BODY IS TO BE PRESENT WITH THE LORD. I JUST RECEIVED THE MESSAGE OF HIS DEATH AND GRAVE SIDE SERVICE SO I AM UNABLE TO ATTEND. I WANTED TO EXPRESS MY APPRECIATION FOR ALAN AND HIS FATHER JAMES WHO WAS SO SUPPORTIVE OF MY SISTER BARBARA AND I AS WE CARED FOR OUR AGING PARENTS: GLENN AND EVELYN ABRAMS. I HAVE NO DOUBT HE IS WITH THE LORD AND THE HOST OF SAINTS THAT HAVE GONE BEFORE HIM. REV. BILL ABRAMS
