Helen Smith Obituary
Helen Faye Smith, 75, of Spindale, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Vance and Tinny Duncan Stafford. Helen was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and bird watching.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Perry Smith; son, Christopher Smith; daughters, Stephanie Kelly, Lisa Hansil, and Neiko Eller; grandchildren, Matthew Smith (Billie), Elizabeth Smith, Leanne Hannon (Ty), Dustin Morrow, Brooklyn Morrow and great granddaughter Kaylynn Hannon.
A family directed memorial service will be held 1PM Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 397 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Forest City, NC with Rev. Steven Matheny officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
