Alan George Simmons, age 71, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, passed away on February 9, 2026. He was a proud Army veteran and a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures.
Alan had a deep love for motorcycles, working on cars, and spending time with his beloved dogs. Above all, he shared a beautiful and lasting love with his wife, Sherry, who was truly the love of his life. Together they created a life centered around good food, home-cooked meals, laughter, and family gatherings. Their kitchen was often the heart of their home, filled with warmth, love, and the simple happiness they found in being together. He will be remembered for his strength, his hands-on spirit, and the quiet way he showed love to those closest to him.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Simmons; his mother, Delsie Simmons; his father, George Simmons; his nephew, Robert Yankovich; and his granddaughter, Elizabeth Starcher.
Alan leaves behind his children, Ashley Simmons, Jeffrey Starcher, Roger Starcher, and Patricia Burgess; his sisters, Maria Yankovich, Lana Ando, and Karen Jones; and his cherished grandchildren, Aaliyah, Dezirae, Chelsea, Brandon, Tyler, Jaden, Ashley, Logan, and Savannah, many nieces and nephews, along with extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
A military service honoring Alan's life and service to his country will be held at a later date when his cremated remains are laid to rest.
