With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Alan, our loving and devoted husband, stepdad, and friend to all whose lives he touched, on November 28, 2025. He left us while sleeping peacefully at his residence in Wooster. He was in his 68th year.
In 1994, he met his loving wife, Jenny. They were married a year later. It was love at first sight.
He was the beloved stepfather of Wendy Newbury, Charlotte Rhein, Shauronna (Phillip) Burkhart, and Eli Ezra Schmucker II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Nancy Thompson; brothers Jimmy, Jeff, and Fred; and children Eli Ezra Schmucker II and Charlotte Rhein. He is also preceded in death by two great-granddaughters.
Alan graduated from Wooster High School in 1976. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing pool. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Burial and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations can be sent to Roberts Funeral Home 7067 Cleveland Rd. Wooster, Ohio 44691.
