Alan G. Walker, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 31, 2022.
A funeral service will be held at 1PM on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church located at 9904 NC 150, Reidsville, NC 27320. The service will be officiated by Pastor Jason Simmons and Sean Vernon. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary. The committal will follow the service at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church cemetery.
Alan was born in Rockingham County to the late David F Walker and Catherine Ford Walker. He was a long-time member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to farming, Alan worked for Piedmont Airlines and retired after 27 years of service. He was an outdoorsman and loved watching the sunset from his back porch. Most of all, he loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Alan is survived by his wife of 27 years, Olene B. Walker; children, Jan W. Macey and husband, Art; Derrick A. Walker and wife, Penny; Wesley Rogers and wife, Eve; Dan M. Rogers, Timothy A. Rogers and wife, Tammy, along with 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchild and a large and loving group of extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Missionary Baptist Church at PO Box 329, Reidsville, NC 27320.
