DEA. ALBERT BROWN JR., age 87, of 745 McElrath Circle, Sandersville, GA passed away on Friday, November 21st, 2025, at the Washington County Regional Medical Center in Sandersville, GA. Family and friends may call at the funeral home. FREEMAN FUNERAL HOME, WRENS, GA oversees arrangements.
DEACON ALBERT BROWN, JR. began his life on Tuesday, June 7, 1938, in Jefferson County, GA to the late, Albert Brown, Sr. and Ella Brown formerly of Wrens, GA. He departed this life on Friday, November 21, 2025, in Sandersville, Georgia.
Deacon Brown was beloved and honored by many as a man of strength. This man of strength was widely known as a hard worker in the church as well as the community. His life demonstrated the love of God that was used to unify many. Deacon Brown used his life to take a stand and was done so on the word of God.
At an early age, he accepted Christ as Lord and Savior of his life, and joined the Pine Hill Baptist Church of Louisville, GA where he served faithfully as Chairman of the Deacon Ministry. Pine Hill Baptist Church was blessed in many ways to experience what a true heart of service looks like.
Early in life, he met and married the late, Mrs. Annie Lee Robinson formerly of Wrens, GA. To this union eight children were born. He later met and married Mary N. Carr Brown.
In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by three children, Charles Brown, Kenneth Brown and Patricia Jackson. He is also predeceased by two sisters, Mary Brown and Doretha Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a lovely wife, Mary N. Brown; five children, Marilyn Brown, Carol (Callie) Hannah, Rev. Tony L., Sr. (Catherine) Brown, Teresa (Brenton) Anderson and Derrick (Keisha) Brown; five stepchildren, James (Cheryl) Carr, Angela (Willie) Carswell, Tonya (Eugene) Middleton, Sheila (Walter) Evans and Chris Carr; two sisters, Christine (Dr. Willie, Sr.) Jones and Betty Ghant; two brothers, Ed Brown and Arthur Lee Brown; an additional son-in-law, Willie A. Jackson, Sr.; twenty grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives including a loving community of extended family and friends.
