Albert “Ab” Clemon, 64, of South Sioux City passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at home. He was known for his sarcastic sense of humor and loved debating with friends. He lived his life by his own rules. A memorial service will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home.
Ab was born December 12, 1960 in Sioux City, Iowa and was brought up by his parents, Wilma and Thomas Bernhardt. He received his education in the South Sioux City schools when they could catch him to attend. He was a wild child to his core until he married his soulmate Teresa Montagne on May 26, 1984. They raised two daughters during their 46 years together.
He worked for Mars Pet Care for many years until his retirement in 2014.
Ab was a lifelong passionate musician. He played the electric guitar in several bands over the years and played right up until the end of his life. He also enjoyed swimming and telling anyone who gave him trouble that he was a black belt in Taekwondo. He always had either a dog or child in his lap. Lastly, and most importantly, he loved hanging out with his close-knit family and grandchildren.
Albert is survived by his wife, Teresa Clemon; daughters, Jessica (Wyatt) Weber and Krista (Angel Figueroa) Clemon; grandchildren, Quinn and Benjamin Weber and Emery Figueroa; siblings, Lloyd (Loretta) Clemon, Wanda “Lynn” Woolridge, and Lonnie (Lor) Clemon; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry; nephew, Robb; and brother-in-law, John.
