Albert C. Dubois, 96, a lifelong resident of West Warwick, passed away at Kent Hospital with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Eileen C. (Jacobson) Dubois.
He was a son of the late Cuthbert and Dora (Sawyer) Dubois.
Albert was a Navy Veteran of WWII and received the World War II Victory Medal, American Area Medal, and the Asiatic-Pacific Area Medal. After the service, he worked as a plumber for Local 51 and received a "Fifty-Year" Membership Certificate from the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry.
Al found the most enjoyment from being a grandfather to his beloved grandchildren and great-granddaughter. His joy stemmed from the simple pleasures of life – from tending to his yard to being a true "do-it-yourselfer".
He is survived by his children, Susan Kerins and her husband Jeffrey of Coventry and Steven Dubois and his wife Cheryl of Bradford; four grandchildren, Justin, Matthew, Shane, and Cayla and one great-grandchild, Riley Sue. He was a brother of the late Horace and Conrad Dubois, Irene Lefoley and Therese Dubois.
Visitation will be held Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. in the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 120 Legris Avenue, West Warwick. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI. In lieu of flowers, donations in Albert's name to Meals on Wheels, 70 Bath Street, Providence, RI 02908 would be appreciated.
