Lloyd E. Moone, 77, of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Greenwood Center in Warwick. He was the loving and devoted husband of nearly 40 years to Linda (Ranallo) Moone of Cranston. Born in Coventry, RI, on March 24, 1948, he was the son of the late Lloyd A. and Evelyn M. (Potter) Moone.

Lloyd was a graduate of LaGrange College in Georgia, where he earned a bachelor's degree in arts and history. A true student of the past, he was an avid historian, genealogist, and coin collector, always eager to learn and share his knowledge.

Lloyd was proud to be a member of DeMolay, the Jaycees, and the Boy Scouts of America. He was a true patriot who loved his country deeply and enjoyed all things American. He also found great joy in cheering on his favorite teams-the Patriots, Celtics, Red Sox, and just about any local game. Above all, he was a good man, a dedicated father, and a faithful provider to his family.

Besides his wife Linda Moone, he is survived by his four children: Benjamin Moone, Edward Moone, Tara Theodosiou and Anthony Laurenzo; three grandchildren: Brendan Moone, Ellie Campbell and Zack Moone. He was the brother of Linda Palazzo and the late Mildred Jacques.

At Lloyd's request, all services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels at https://www.rimeals.org/ in his honor.
