Albert was a natural entertainer. He played the guitar and sang for most of his life, entertaining his wife and his many children with nightly sing-a-longs. His love of music, especially country western music, was something he enjoyed for his entire life. He had many other hobbies including carpentry, cake decorating, computers, playing golf, scuba diving and auto mechanics to name a few.
Albert also had a deep love for animals, all animals. The first of which was his beloved German Shepherd dog, Penny. After Penny, Albert had many cats, fish, parakeets, parrots, he even had a couple of monkeys at one point. After he retired, he was often seen feeding stray or feral cats and giving them a warm place to sleep in his garage. He also loved hand feeding squirrels and gaining their trust.
The family will be having a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, given Albert’s love of animals, the family requests that you make donations in Albert’s name to your local animal shelter or animal sanctuary.
