Beloved husband, dad, grandpa and great grandpa, age 98, passed away peacefully on Sept. 13, 2025.
Preceded in death by parents, William and Clara; wife, Marcella; son, Todd; brothers, Ivan, Harry, Clifford and Henry; sisters, Virginia and Theresa; and daughter-in-law, Kathy.
Survived by brother Lester; son Owen; daughters, Teri and Joli (Russell); grandchildren, Anthony Dupre (Julie Hart) and Jennifer Dickhoff (Jim); and great-granddaughter Isabelle.
Albert grew up on a farm in the Hugo area and went to Forest Lake High School. He loved school sports and enjoyed his time there as the football team’s quarterback/fullback. He liked fishing, football, basketball, polka and country music.
He grew up working on the farm. After that, most of his life was working as a carpenter, then as a school custodian and then owning Mar-de’s Restaurant with wife Marcella.
Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Wednesday, October 8 at St. Joseph of the Lakes Catholic Church, 171 Elm St., Lino Lakes. Visitation at the church from 10-11 AM Wednesday, Oct. 8. Interment at St. Joseph’s Church Cemetery.
