Albert T. Embry, age 91 of
Morgantown, KY, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025, at the Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY. Born on Thursday, May 17, 1934, in
Morgantown, KY, Albert's life was a testament to the values of hard work, family, and faith.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Callie and Luvina Casey Embry; his daughter, Glinna Lorene Embry; his brothers, L T Daugherty, Herman, Ira, Hayward, Shelton, and Orville Embry; and his sisters, Palestine Henderson and Lucy Duke. His memory will be forever held in the hearts of those he leaves behind, including his devoted wife of 58 years, Lorene Embry, and his daughters, Ammie Patterson and Anna Gates (James). His legacy continues through his five grandchildren, Shane Patterson (Mikayla), Shelby Jeffries (Isaak), Cameron Patterson, Briar Gates (Maddie), and Hunter Gates, as well as his great-grandchild, Ryder Gates. Albert is also survived by his brother, Paul Embry (Devois), sister-in-laws Gustine Embry and Ruby Embry, and several loving nieces and nephews.
Albert's professional life was marked by his entrepreneurial spirit as he co-owned Embry Sheetmetal in Owensboro, KY. He was a member of Barnetts Lick Baptist Church, where he found great solace and fellowship.
Those who knew Albert will remember him as a man of many talents and interests. He had a passion for working in his garden, woodworking and working on lawn mowers. Sunday dinners were a cherished tradition for Albert, a time when he could gather with his family and share in the love and laughter that he so valued. He also found great pleasure in attending car shows with his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 1:00pm with Bro. Kevin Green and Bro. Joe Henderson officiating. Burial will be in the Isiah Evans Cemetery where Shane Patterson, Cameron Patterson, Briar Gates, Hunter Gates, Noah Coots and Isaak Jeffries will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from 10:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
