William Smrtic Obituary
William Steven Smrtic, 81, of Morgantown, KY, died at Morgantown Care and Rehab on 2/4/2026
He was born in Cornwall, New York in 1944 to Anthony Joseph Smrtic and Vivian Janet (McCowen) Smrtic. William graduated Cornwall High School in Cornwall, NY and then developed an interest in Drag Racing and was well known for his cars with the name "Storm King" on the sides. Later in life, he applied his childhood love of building model airplanes to use as he spent years working all around the country in the Aerospace Composites Industry. He was also an Army veteran.
William was preceded in death by his father Anthony, his mother Vivian and his wife Lorraine Rogers Smrtic.
He is survived by his brother Gary S Smrtic and his son William R Smrtic.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Butler County Animal Shelter
