Albert B. Hale, 84, of Wilmington, MA, entered into eternal peace on November 1, 2023. Beloved husband of Carmen J. (MacLaughlin) Driscoll-Hale and the late Rosemary (Gould) Hale. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Prince A. and Frances G. Hoar. He is survived by his sisters, June Driscoll of North Woodstock, NH, and Gail Driscoll of Milton, MA as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
A former marine and retired Greyhound bus driver Al dreamed of one day driving for Disney. A lover of the outdoors he enjoyed canoeing, fishing, cross-country skiing, and dancing. A real people person. Al was strong in his faith and dedicated to his church.

Al was a member of our Boston Writing Group, along with Carmen, for many years. We loved it when they attended our lunch meetings. They were always full of wonderful stories and memories to share. Al had all sorts of plans for the things he would write. He read a number of excerpts to us. We will miss Al immensely. -- Lisa Shea
