Albert J. Herzer Jr. of Naples, Florida-formerly West Chicago, Illinois, passed away at the age of 77 on December 30, 2025.
Cherished husband of Beverly Slinkman Herzer, Loving Father of Kimberly (Steven) Ruzzier, Albert III (Gerri) Herzer, Lisa (Raymond) Scarcella and Diana (Michael) Regan.
Treasured Grandfather of Joseph, Justin, Jennifer, Caitlyn, Tyler, Ryan and Vivian and Great Grandfather of Samuel. Siblings of Thomas Herzer and Lynn (Don) Gelardi.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Albert Sr. and Irene.
Albert was born on July 20, 1948 to Irene and Albert J. Herzer Sr. He grew up in Cicero, Illinois where he met his bride of 58 years, Beverly.
They settled in West Chicago, Illinois, raised 4 children and later moved to Naples, Florida in 1993.
Albert had many passions, vintage cars was one of them. He attended many local car shows in the Chicago Suburbs and then became the proud owner of both a 1955 Buick and 1966 Cadillac convertible. Traveling was another passion that he took advantage of. He and Beverly passed through many beautiful areas of the United States, such as Yellowstone National Park, Mt. Rushmore and Alaska to name a few. Travels outside of the US included: Switzerland, Italy, Netherlands, Austria and Germany. Oktoberfest was one of his all time favorites. His biggest passion in life were his 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild & spending time with family at his Florida residence.
He will be remembered for his loving support for his family, quick wit and storytelling as well as spontaneous acts of travel.
