Albert Sherman Kelley

Albert Sherman Kelley went to be with the Lord on August 23, 2025, at the age of 93 years, surrounded by his loving family. Sherman was the epitome of hard work, dedication, and love. He was a dedicated employee of Owens-Brockway Glass Company, retiring in 1990 after decades of service.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Community Church (4290 S 65th St E, Muskogee) officiated by Rev. Roger Pratt and Russ Pratt. Family visitation will follow the service.

Sherman was born in Yale, OK, on March 14, 1932, to Albert and Marie Kelley. He graduated from Muskogee Central High School in 1950. He married the love of his life, Delilah Mae Sanders, on November 22, 1960, in Muskogee at Calvary Baptist Church. They raised seven children, David, Sheri, Mike, Mark, Tim, Dan, and Tom, in Muskogee. On November 22, 2024, Sherman and Delilah celebrated 65 years of marriage.

Sherman was a dedicated follower of Christ and readily shared his beliefs, inspiring those around him with his faith and kindness. He was actively involved in the lives of his children, serving as a 4-H leader, baseball coach, and a steadfast supporter in all their endeavors. Sherman imparted his wisdom to his kids through his words, actions, and unwavering love, leaving a lasting legacy of faith, dedication, and community spirit. His presence will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew him.

Sherman is preceded in death by his parents; son, David; brothers, Otis, McCoy; sisters, Imogene Spivey, Evelyn Hambrick Pruegert.

He is survived by his wife, Delilah Kelley of Muskogee, OK; sons: Mike Kelley of Tahlequah, OK; Mark (Denise) Kelley of Oklahoma City; Tim (Shelly) Kelley of Arvada, CO; Dan "The Fairly Handsome One" (John) Kelley of Lewisville, TX; Tom Kelley of Tahlequah, OK; daughter, Sheri (Glenn) Miller of Alvin, TX; Grandsons, Matthew Miller of Alvin, TX; Madison (Sarah) Kelley of Lakewood, CO; Tyler (Alyssa) Kelley of Minneapolis, MN; Nolan Kelley of Denver, CO; granddaughters, Kelley (Louis) Patek of Friendswood, TX; Sarah Robinson (Dean) of Katy, TX; Stacie Miller of Alvin, TX; numerous nephews, nieces, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
