Albert T. Kupetz, known fondly as Al to his friends and family, lived a life marked by dedication, adventure, and kindness. Born on July 31, 1936, in
Passaic, NJ, Al passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Born in Passaic, Al was a lifelong resident of Clifton andgraduated from Clifton High School with a focus on discipline and hard work that would define his career and personal life.
In 1953, Al embarked on a distinguished career at Hoffmann-La Roche, formerly located in Nutley, where he worked in Pharmaceutical Operations. His commitment to excellence and attention to detail earned him respect among his peers throughout his 42-year tenure until his retirement in 1995. His dedication to his country was equally notable, as he diligently served as a 1st Sergeant with the New Jersey National Guard 2nd Battalion, 113th Infantry Regiment in Riverdale, demonstrating leadership and resilience.
Al's zest for life extended beyond his professional endeavors. His love for the outdoors was evident to all who knew him. Whether working diligently in his yard, practicing target shooting, or simply watching bald eagles soar with a sense of wonder, Al embraced the beauty of nature. He often mused that he would have thrived in the simpler times of the 1800s, drawn to the adventure and uncomplicated life of that era.
Family and friends were central to Al's world. He is survived by his loving husband, Robert Mc Glynn of Dingmans Ferry, PA, his brother James Kupetz and sister-in-law Lynne of Wayne and his sister Arlene Trzcinski of Clifton. Each family member can attest to Al's selfless nature and the kind-hearted spirit that endeared him to all.
In the words of those who knew him best, Al was adventurous, always seeking out new horizons and experiences with a courageous heart. His selflessness was seen in the way he prioritized others, always ready to lend a hand or an ear. Above all, his kindness left an indelible mark on the hearts of his family, friends, and community.
Albert T. Kupetz's journey through life was one of meaning, filled with love, service, and the simple joys that create a rich tapestry of memories for those he leaves behind. As we bid farewell to Al, we celebrate a man who inspired us to live fully, give generously, and cherish the natural world he so loved. His legacy will continue to shine brightly as an example of a life well-lived.
