Albert Vance Lee was born December 29, 1939 in Qulin, Missouri to the late Thomas Gilbert and Lilly Lee and passed away October 13, 2025 in Pensacola, Florida at the age of 85 years old.
Albert grew up in Dudley, Missouri and went to school in Dudley and Dexter, Missouri. He grew up in the country and enjoyed working on and racing cars. He moved to California where he became a mechanic and raced stock cars. While living in California, he married Caryl Lee in April of 1962 and in a few years he moved back to Dexter, Missouri to raise his children. He became a construction worker and pipefitter, working major construction jobs all over the United States. He was an avid fisherman, fishing the lakes and streams wherever he was working. He had a life long love of racing even though he quit racing himself he would go to as many races as he could, especially the dirt tracks. Later in life he settled down in Pensacola, Florida and started a construction company with his brother where they did a lot of work for the city of Pensacola. He enjoyed his retirement traveling, fishing, and going to the races.
He will be missed by his brothers and sister: Marshal Lee, Gary Lee, Eunice Firle, and Wendell Lee. His children: Thomas Lee, James Lee, Louise Lee-Ayo, Kathy Lee, and Kelly Lee. His grandchildren: Nick Lee, Amanda Lee, Krystin Lee, Tabitha Geda, Jarrod Souza, and Jordan Souza.
Albert is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Robert Lee.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 20th, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 20th, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Burial immediately following at Dudley Cemetery.
