Mabel Jacobs
Mabel Jacobs was born on August 31, 1944, in Parma, Missouri to the late William and Harriet (McKeller) Hill and passed away on October 4, 2025 in Bernie, Missouri at the age of 81.
Mabel lived in this area her entire life and attended New Mount Zion Baptist Church in Essex, Missouri. She enjoyed gardening, quilt making and was the neighborhood store, selling candy and sodas.
Mabel is survived by a son, Lawrence (Rose) Jacobs, of Sikeston, Missouri, and a daughter Lillie (Keal) Clark, of Essex, Missouri, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Chester (Debbie) Hill, of Essex, Missouri, Ernest (Marylene) Hill, of Marion, Illinois, Ben Hill, of Chicago, Illinois, 3 sisters, Willie Lee Bailey, of Malden, Missouri, Annie Thompson, of Essex, Missouri, and Mary Jones, of Malden, Missouri.
Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, LC Jacobs, her children, Alice Bryant and Amos Austin Jr, 3 sisters, Mildred, Marydell and Betty and 7 brothers, Kenneth, Marvin, John Lee, Donnie, James, Calvin and Charles.
The visitation will be on Friday, October 10, 2025, beginning at 11 A.M. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
