Albert Richard "Al" Lepard, of Sears, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 23, 2025 in Evart, at the age of 73. He was born on October 13, 1951 to Harry and Edith (Gaffney) Lepard.
As a young man he started his working career at the DNR and in 1973 started working in the stockyard and currently did the writeup for the farmers at the Clare County Livestock Auction, where he was employed up until his passing. During that time he also became the muscle for the deliveries at M&J Furniture. When his uncle Cleon Gaffney passed away, he inherited his major roles of collecting tickets in the grandstands during the Osceola County Fair and being the head of the Big Lake Association.
Al was a gentle giant and looked forward to spending his mornings at McDonalds. He was a lifelong patron of Jerry's College of Knowledge and volunteered yearly with the Lions Club.
He and his family have been deeply rooted in the Sears and Evart Communities and Churches for decades. He will be deeply missed by the community and his family that includes: Six Nieces and Nephews; Darrell Lepard Jr., Tammie Jo Conklin, Daniel (Stephanie) Lepard, Gerald (Catherine Kelly) Lepard, Anna Lepard and Vivian (Joshua) Andrews; Sister-in-law, Barbara Lepard; Lifetime friend, George Johnson and many great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Albert was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers, Darrell Sr. and David Lepard; nephew and niece, Richard Boyd Lepard and Cara Christian Lepard.
