Albert Eugene "Gene" Mallory, 87, Danville, KY, widower of Nina Nichols Mallory, died Friday, December 30, 2022, at his home. Born October 15, 1935, in Owen County, he was the son of the late Fields and Lieutitia (Dempsey) Mallory. Gene was a member of the Army Reserve and was a registered Pharmacist, and was a sales person for Eli Lilly.
Survivors include: one daughter: Gina Mallory of Louisville, KY and two sons: Alan (Rita) Mallory of IN and Troy Mallory of Danville; two brothers: Robert (Debbie) Mallory of Nicholasville, KY and James (Judy) Mallory of Louisville, KY; he also has four grandchildren; Adam (Katrina) Mallory, Sarah (Eric) Davis, T.J. Mallory and Neccolus Mallory; one great-grandchild, Waylon Mallory. Gene was preceded in death by a daughter Mona Dale Mallory.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Thursday; January 5, by Dr. Robert Mallory. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be 12 noon - 2 PM Thursday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.

Nina, Gene's wife, was my Sunday School teacher for over 16 years at Lexington Avenue Baptist. We will miss Gene as much as we miss Nina. Rest in peace, Gene.

I remember Gene as a Lilly Sales Rep in Madisonville, KY. He was the epitome of professionalism and a role model for me as I joined Lilly as a sales reps. Rest in peace.
