Albert J. Matre Jr.

Albert James Matre, Jr., born January 15, 1942, died suddenly at home on September 19, 2022. He is survived by his wife Mary Lou (nee Wolf), daughter Vikki (Tim) Foley, granddaughter; Jenna, Sisters: Sue (Don) Christian, Julie (Norman) George, Sister-in-Law: Joann (Jerry) Gaines. He joins his late sister Maribeth Matre and his parents Ellen (nee Benson) and Albert G Matre in heaven. He is also loved by nieces, nephews, many cousins, neighbors, and friends that he was a light to.
He did some time in the Navy as a medic and was proud to serve his time. He worked hard in anything he did. He loved telling stories of his life experiences. He always was so positive and loving to all he came across. He also volunteered at as an Usher/Greeter at his home church until he could not do it no more. He is already missed by so many he touched. Thank you for sharing any memories of him with us.

Visitation for Family and Friends will be at Church of Our Lord Nativity, 5935 Pandora Ave, Cincinnati Ohio 45213 on Saturday, September 24th at 9am and then Mass service will be at 10am. Burial chapel service will be after at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Montgomery Ohio.
