Albert Musciano Obituary

Albert Jerome (Chuck) Musciano, Jr died peacefully in the presence of his family on October 25, 2025. Born on October 24, 1937, he passed away just one day after his 88th birthday.

Chuck is survived and missed by his loving wife Kathleen (nee Gossman) of 65 years; and his children, Chuck (Cindy) and Suzie Lowe (Ben). He dearly loved his five grandchildren, Alex (Graham), Courtney (Brian), Katie (Pace), Ben (Maggie), and Coleton (Claire), and his four great-grandchildren, Eloise, Lily, Liza, and Miles.

Chuck was predeceased by his father, Albert, his mother, Anna, and his sister Virginia (Carozza).

He was born in Baltimore, Maryland and grew up in Dundalk and Towson. He graduated from the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute at the age of 16 and earned a BS in Mechnical Engineering from Johns Hopkins at the age of 19. Chuck spent his career working for Western Electric and later AT&T, helping design modern telephones as well as being part of the team that built the world's first fiber optic cable plant. His career took the family from Baltimore to Atlanta to Philadelphia, finally settling in Princeton Junction, NJ before retiring to Elon, NC in 1992.

Chuck's greatest joy was his family and he often remarked that he was blessed to see all of his grandchildren graduate from college and marry. He was the keeper of the family history, collecting and displaying family photos dating back to the 1880s, and most recently had started writing his autobiography and family history, hoping that all the family history could be passed on to future generations. He was a storyteller extraordinaire, sharing countless and often hilarious stories regarding shenanigans from his youth.

Chuck was renowned for his breadth and depth of knowledge, especially his formidable trivia knowledge. He read voraciously throughout his life and could name even the most obscure actors in any film. He was fascinated with technology and was an early adopter of every modern digital tool, from VCRs to computers to cell phones. He loved to build and create things, whether it was balsa airplanes, a project around the house, or beautiful cross-stitch needlework that he designed himself. He was also a great fan of lacrosse, especially his beloved Hopkins Bluejays, and rarely missed a game on television.

Chuck was a constant loving presence in his family, especially with his greatest love of all, Kathy. Together, they were a living example of a truly loving and dedicated marriage. While he will be dearly missed by his family, his love and dedication as a husband and father will never be forgotten and will serve as an example to all his descendants for many years to come.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
