Albert L. Mydosh, Jr. died on September 30, 2023 at Garnet Medical Center due to heart related issues and pneumonia. He was 80 years old.
Al, as he was known by most, was born on July 22, 1943 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Warwick, N.Y. to the late Albert and Mary Congiliosi Mydosh, Sr. of Otisville, N.Y.
Albert graduated from Otisville High School. Soon after, he was offered entry into West Point Military Academy. Being a family man and always putting family first, he declined the offer and continued to work with his father at the family business A. Mydosh & Sons Septic and Excavating where he continued to work his whole life. Al was a very talented man and helped many people over the years, especially the less fortunate. He loved hunting, fishing, boating and gardening and was an exceptionally good cook.
Al could fix or fabricate most anything in the garage and built his own home from the ground up.
Albert married Mary E. Rumsey in February 1965 and went on to have two children, but later divorced.
Survivors include his daughter; Teresa (Tracy) Collins and her husband Peter and their children, grandson, Michael Collins and his wife Alexandra and granddaughter, Ali Collins. His son; Alexander Mydosh and his wife Matina and Alex's son, grandson Julian Mydosh. His sister, Helen Ryan, brothers; Tom Mydosh and his wife Tammy and George Mydosh and his wife Lori, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Al is pre-deceased by his longtime loving companion, Nancy Bedford, his parents, Albert and Mary Mydosh Sr., sister, Mary Davis Mydosh, brothers-in-law Raymond Davis and Vince Ryan, sister, Patricia Williams and her husband John, brother, Frank Mydosh.
