It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Albert Francis Nagy, 77, who left us unexpectedly on July 30, 2025, in Lake City, Florida. He was born on April 24, 1948, in San Mateo, California. Albert, fondly known as Al, was a devoted husband to Dianne and a loving father to his two children: Jonathan Nagy and Jessica Bell.

As a veteran of the U.S. Army, Al served his country with honor and integrity from 1966 to 1972 and achieved the rank of Sergeant. He received a Bachelor of Arts for the study of Arts and Humanities from the University of Maryland. Al worked the majority of his life in construction, being a small business owner of a cabinet shop in Tampa, Florida. One of his final accomplishments was that he acted as the general contractor in building the family home in San Antonio, Florida. During his retirement, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, camping, motorcycles, and spending his time outdoors. He had a deep love and reverence for God and His creation.

Al is survived by his wife of almost 40 years, Dianne; his children, Jonathan (Patience) and Jessica (Kenneth); his mother, Ruth; his sister, Cindy; and his grandchildren, Emilia, Bethany, and Benjamin. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert F. Nagy, Sr.

Al will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, with a military honors ceremony.
