Albert J. Norton

Albert J. Norton, on December 12, 2025, of Barrington, NJ. Age 83.
Al was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Luther and Blanche (Manning) Norton.
He was a proud veteran of the US Army from 1963-1969, having served time in Korea. He moved to Barrington where he resided for 58 years. Al was a hard worker, a former employee of Owen's Corning Fiberglass and Beaverbrook Motors.
Al enjoyed the simple life, having a cold one at the Legion, reading, going to the shooting range and most of all, watching his grandchildren play sports and spending time with family.
He was known for his generosity, always giving to those in need. He was the kindest, most stubborn and opinionated person you'd ever meet. He was always ready to open his wallet or give a ride to strangers who looked down on their luck.
Al is survived by his loving daughters Deborah Veit (Tom) and Joanne Phillips (Brian); his grandchildren Kenny Lampe (Kristen), Kyle Lampe, Kelly Phillips (Jake), Breanna Veit, Brian Phillips and Kerry Phillips; his great-grandchildren Annabelle, Josephine, Christian, Ella and Hudson; and his former wife Mary Ellen Norton. He is predeceased by his parents Luther and Blanche (Manning) Norton; his brothers Marty, Jack and Bill; and his nephew Robert.
Al was so loved and will be forever missed.
There will be a visitation from 12pm to 1pm, December 19, 2025, at Gardner Funeral Home, 126 S. Black Horse Pike, Runnemede, NJ 08078. Memorial service will begin at 1pm.
Inurnment to follow at Locustwood Memorial Park, 1500 Marlton Pike, Cherry Hill Township, NJ 08002.
