Albert ("Smokey Joe", "Pokey") Reid, Jr., age, 64, of Jackson, Georgia, transitioned on Saturday, February 11, 2023. He was born on September 8, 1958, in Dublin, Georgia to the late Albert Reid, Sr. And Pauline Rushen Reid. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Diane McGuire, Jennie Mae (Frank) Coney, Patricia Chiles. Herschel (Lola) King, and Johnny Reid, Sr.
Mr. Reid was a West Laurens High School alumni and Army veteran. He spent his later years in logistics before his illness. He loved his family and his faith. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, entertaining, and automobiles. He brought laughter and joy to anyone that knew him.
Survivors are his children, Benjamin (Johan) Reid of Macon, Georgia, Aashante Reid, Daisha Reid, Albert P. Reid III; stepchildren, Kierra Stuckey, Chris Stuckey, Marocka Stuckey, and Teandralet Patterson; all of Dublin, Georgia. Their mothers; Katherine Folk of Macon, Georgia and Demettrius Patterson of Dublin, Georgia; 30 grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Kenneth (Marie) Reed, Sierra Vista, Arizona, Earnest (Lynn) Reid, Killeen, Texas, Katharen (James) Keesee, Jonesboro, Georgia, Jimmy (Lakesha) Reid, and Michael (Stephanie) Reid, both of Dublin, Georgia, LaToya (Elie) Johnson of Jackson, Georgia; amongst extended family and friends.
