Albert Sandstedt Obituary

January 31, 1936 - August 11, 2025 Albert W. (Bill) Sandstedt was born in San Benito, Texas on January 31, 1936. He passed away August 11, 2025, in Kerrville, Texas.

He graduated from San Benito High School in 1954. He attended Texas A&M University, then joined the U.S. Navy. While in the Navy, he attended electronics schools. After 4 years in the Navy, Bill went to work for IBM, using the technical knowledge he learned in the Navy.

He moved to Houston in the late 80s, then to the Rio Grande Valley. He followed his brother to Harper, Texas in 2003.

Bill enjoyed hunting for gold, talking to his parrots and growing orchids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert L. and Jesse Day Sandstedt; a sister, Peggy; and his youngest son, James Earl.

Bill is survived by his brother, John; two cousins; and two sons, Billy Keith and Joseph Mark. He is also survived by 8 grandsons and 9 great-grandsons.

There will be a graveside service at Harper Community Cemetery on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 1:30 p.m., followed by a barbecue in Harper's Community Park. The cemetery address is 199 N. Ranch Road 783.
