Albert Kenneth Schlageter, 61, of Bloomfield, NJ, passed away on April 6, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Weehawkin, NJ, on May 13th, 1963, he was the cherished son of Albert and Dianne (Aspery) Schlageter.
Preceded in death by his parents, his brother Robert Schlageter (2023) and his daughter Toni Anne Schlageter (1995). Albert is survived by his son, Albert Anthony Schlageter and daughter, Jennifer Rose Schlageter, his sister Suzanne Schlageter, and granddaughter Aria Ann Schlageter who was the light of his life. Albert will also be missed by his faithful canine companion Salsa.
Albert was a devoted coach for over 30 years, and greatly respected by his teams. He had a passion for sports and could be found watching or attending football, basketball, and soccer games. He spent many vacations up in the Catskills at the Glen Falls House, where he found sincere contentment.
There will be a private cremation and a memorial service will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Halpin-Bitecola-Brookdale Funeral & Cremation Services in Bloomfield, NJ. His family invites all who knew him to join them in celebrating a life well-lived, a life characterized by devotion to family, a strong work ethic, and a love for the simple joys that made each day special.
