Albert "Edward" Swartz, age 84, of Wesleyville, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025. He was born in Rosston, in Armstrong County, PA on March 11, 1941, son of the late Daniel and Ruby Swartz.

Ed was a veteran of the US Army, where he was a competitive sharp shooter and boxer. He was a local #348 iron worker and worked in maintenance construction at Cornerstone Construction prior to retirement. Ed was an avid fan of all Pittsburgh teams, Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. He also enjoyed elk hunting in Colorado, fishing and bear hunting and loved vegetable gardening.

Ed is survived by two children, Betty K. Wood (Thomas) and David E. Swartz; two grandchildren, Victoria Swartz and Thomas Wood (Jaclyn); five great-grandchildren, Sophia, Jayden, Lincoln, Thomas and Evelyn; two sisters, Shirley Ford and Marian Groves; one brother, David Swartz (Barbara); and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Maxine Swartz; three brothers, Donald, Daniel and James Swartz; and four sisters, Ruby Dowling, Carole Bucko, Garnet Swartz and Nancy Burdette.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Friday, January 2nd, from 2 pm until the time of the Funeral Service there at 6 pm conducted by Rev. Shane Thompson. Military Honors will follow rendered by American Legion Carl Neff Post 571. Memorial contributions may be made to Hunt of a Lifetime, PO Box 241, Harborcreek, PA 16421.
