Mr. Albert Thomas

Mr. Albert E. Thomas, 73, of 4702 Heritage Road, North Prince George, Virginia, departed this life on January 6, 2026, at Chippenham Medical Center, Richmond.
Albert was born on November 18, 1952, in Prince George County to the late Willie Williams and Helen V. Thomas. He was educated in the Prince George County Public School System.
Albert was a dedicated and hardworking man who was employed with Smithfield Food Company for more than eighteen years. He took pride in his work and was known for his dependability and commitment. In his leisure time, Albert enjoyed fishing and hunting, but above all, he absolutely loved to dress and present himself with style and class.
In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his brothers, Moses, Robert, and Lawrence Thomas; and his sisters, Annie Thomas and Shirley Allen.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his two sons, Ladale Thomas (Tamara) and Lloyd Lawson (Lillian); 5 grandchildren, Jasmine Thomas, Jasion Thomas, Dennesh Jones, Aletha Lawson and Karma Feury; his sisters, Joanne Crockett (devoted), Joyce Williams, Geraldine Henderson, and Angela Williams; his brothers, Raymond Jones, William Thomas, Levon Thomas, Leroy Thomas (Viola), Ricky Thomas (Sheila), Willie Williams, Jr. (Charlene), Benjamin Williams, and Jerome Williams; his sister-in-law, Gloria Thomas; his aunts, Willie Jones and Esther Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including devoted friends Daisy Davis and Homer Lee Crockett.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Affinity Hospice, Riverview on the Appomattox, and to the doctors and nurses at Chippenham Medical Center, for their compassionate care, patience, and kindness shown to Albert and the family during his time in their care.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, January 17th, 2026 at the Petersburg chapel of Bland Funeral Home, 137 Harrison Street, Petersburg, VA. Rev. Clarence M. Thweatt, Jr., pastor of Mt. Hope Baptist Church, Prince George, eulogizing. Interment will follow in the Jones Family Cemetery, N. Prince George, Va. Public visitation will be held from 10am-8pm, Friday, January 16th at Bland Funeral Home, Petersburg.
