Dixie – Graveside Services for Mr. Albert "Al" Loyd Thompson, 70 of Loco are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the Dixie Cemetery with Joe Taylor officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling.
Al was born August 10, 1952 in Wilson, OK to the late Mr. James Richard "JR" Thompson and Mrs. Lois Dean (Whittaker) Thompson. He departed from this life on Sunday, May 21, 2023 in Healdton, OK
Al was raised in Healdton and Fox areas graduating from Fox High School. He married the former Ms. Mary Jane Mefford on September 25, 1971 at the Graham Assembly of God Church and have resided most of their lives together North of Ringling. Al and Mary owned and operated Thompsons Total in Ringling and then the Napa Store for many years. He could fix anything and was an exceptional mechanic who loved cars. Al also built their home himself. As a young child, he attended Graham Assembly of God Church.
Preceding him in death was his parents; daughter, Michelle Thompson Morgan on April 3, 2006; and a sister, Janice Faye Thompson.
Al is survived by wife, Mary Jane (Mefford) Thompson of the home; son, Michael "Mike" Thompson and wife April of Pensacola, FL; brother, James Thompson; granddaughters, Abby Thompson and Tomi Buske and husband Dylan; great grandson, Jack Buske; and by a host of other family and friends.
Casket bearers will be Kris Brown, James Thompson, Sonny Morriss, Mike Wilborn, Lyndol Van Buskirk, and Charles Lockwood. Honorary bearers will be Bob Earl Stewart and Meril Hodges.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5-7:00 P.M. at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling.
