Albert Valantine, 65, of Gardner, died peacefully on Monday, April 21, 2025, in his home, surrounded by his family.
Born in Banjul, Gambia, on September 21, 1959, he was the son of the late Felix and Therese (Dupin) Valantine. He graduated from St. Augustine's Senior Secondary School in Banjul, Gambia. Albert attended Almira College, obtaining a bachelor's in business administration, and furthered his education at Boston University, receiving a master's in business administration in 1995.
He worked in the accounting department for Seaboard Folding Box Company, Inc. of Westminster for three years. He was previously employed as an accountant by the former Colonial Hotel of Boston for seventeen years.
Albert was an Annunciation Parish of Gardner parishioner who practiced at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. He enjoyed sports, especially baseball, reading, and politics. But above all else, his family was his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Albert had a warm and open heart, constantly extending his kindness to his friends, family, and anyone in need. For so many, his home was a gathering place-a true home. Whether it was a summer cookout, cheering on his team during the Super Bowl, ringing in the New Year, or celebrating life's significant milestones, Albert's door was always open, and his presence was always welcoming. He created space for joy, laughter, and connection, and all who knew him will remember his generosity of spirit.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Belle of Gardner; two sons, Felix Valantine of Lynn and Terrance Valantine of Gardner; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
